Principle:-The concentration of Peracetic acid in BV-Pegen is sufficient not only to react with the cell walls proteins, but also penetrate into the interior of cells, oxidising all protein contents. The Peroxide contents is an efficient cleaning agent and sterilant.

This is a cold sterilant intended for use in dialyzer reprocessing system. It is also used for manual dialyzer reprocessing.

Offers advantages compared to traditional chemicals used for reprocessing such as Formaldehyde, and Bleach.

This is a stabilized mixture of peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and acetic acid.

The by-products [oxygen, water, and acetic acid mixture] degrade quickly and do not harm the environment. All by-products are natural and safe to flush into a sanitary sewer system

Water Treatment Systems in dialysis centers.

Dilution:-

Water used for dilution must be pre-filtered through a 1 micron or smaller filter. Water used for dilution must be at room temperature. To make 1 % BV-Peracetic Acid, dilute 10 ml of BV-Pegen Acid in 1 liter of pure water.

Direction for use:-

A hollow fiber dialyzer is sterilized with a proportioned 1% solution (10m1 of BV-Pegen Acid in l liter of pure water) with 40 minutes of soak and recycle time. The cleaned filters have been shown to have a reuse life of 60-80% of original life of the filter. It is used to disinfect both hollow fiber as well as pleated polysulfone filters. The proportioned BV-Pegen solution must be adequately and thoroughly rinsed out of the dialyzer prior to clinical use.

Special advice:

-Recommended storage temperature: 5-30°C. Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms. Handle and open container with care. Never return unused material to storage receptacle. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight. Store in a cool place. Store in up-rightposition only.

Materials Compatibly: Good material compatibility with stainless steel, PTFE, PVDF, PEHD, PR.

Interactions:

Mixing of BV-Peracetic Acid with other products should be avoided, particularly with aldehydes or derivates of ha logens(e.g. sodium hypochlorite and others). Shelf life:-BV-Peracetic Acid is stable for one year when stored according to label directions. Unused diluted solution should be discarded after 24 hours.
